I came up with this recipe around Christmas time, as “Cocoa Truffles” made of butter and icing sugar, are considered a holiday favourite amongst my family members. I wanted to see if I could make a healthier version of them to show to my fam how healthy can still be delicious. All and all they were considered a big hit by most (I’ve realized you can’t win them all) and wayyy healthier originals!

Ingredients
– 1/4 cup tahini
– 1/4 cup coconut oil
– 1/2 cup medjool dates
– 1/2 cup raw cacao powder (or high quality cocoa powder)
– 1/4 cup dried goji berries
– 1/4 cup maple syrup
Topping: sesame seeds
Instructions
– Place all ingredients into a blender or food processor and mix until you reach a paste- like consistency
– Place in freezer for 15-20 minutes and then roll into golf ball size shapes
– I then like to roll some of them in sesame seeds
– Enjoy!
